Welcome to the Invisible Institute Lab, a blog written by David Eads and co-conspirators, about the intersection of information technology and urban life. Invisible Institute Lab will be a space to discuss about technological issues and themes, as well as tools and techniques, arising from my work for Invisible Institute, FreeGeek/Chicago, and my freelance projects.
Invisible Institute Lab will focus on questions of how to collaborate effectively online, using tools like Drupal and Trac, a fair amount of duct tape, and lots of love. How can we make a more humane world with the tools that are available to us?
Technogically, the Lab emphasize Linux system administration (especially security and performance), Trac theming and plugin development, Drupal theming and module development, jQuery, user interface and experience, and information architecture. What tools and recipes can facilitate and sustain elegant collaboration for small, diverse groups of people?

I look forward to much good work coming from this collaboration. The Invisible Institute has done great work and the future holds endless opportunities. God speed!
I would just like to affirm what Andy said and add that I'm so proud of you, David. You're a hard and dedicated worker with a heart for others which is rare in this selfish world.
I look forward to learning more about The Invisible Institute, witnessing and perhaps even participating in present and future developments created by and as a result of The Invisible Institute's existence.
God speed, David.
