David Eads is a web developer based in Chicago. He is a founder of Invisible Institute and FreeGeek/Chicago. His primary interest is in using Drupal for online journalism.

My focuses are Drupal theming and module development, Drupal performance, Trac development, Linux system administration, and information architecture / user interface design.

My broad skillset makes me useful for projects that must balance intersecting technical, strategic, aesthetic, and human interests.

In recent years, I worked for the Chicago Technology Cooperative on projects such as Vocalo.org, Linux Foundation, and Progress Illinois.

Current freelance projects include system administration for Electronic Intifada, continuing work on Progress Illinois, and Invisible Institute.

I am a founder, staff member, and board member of FreeGeek/Chicago, a community computer recycling program in Chicago's Logan Square.
